Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of answers some popular questions below.
If you can’t find your question below feel free to contact me, and I’ll be happy to help.
What should my horse wear? Choosing the right tack for the look you want.
The bridle can be nice especially if you plan to ride your horse. If your horse is not use to wear one, a leather halter is a great option. Or if you’d like a more natural look, we can photograph your horse in an enclosed and safe area at liberty.
My barn is not pretty, I am afraid my pictures will not look as good…
I can make magic happen with just a patch of green or a few foliage. I also have the option to bring a backdrop to make the best of the limited options.
Can I braid my horse?
Absolutely, it is a great way to secure the manes in a winding situation. They will look perfect through the entire session. A nice braid make a perfect detailed and abstract picture !
My horse does not stand still, can I still get beautiful images ?
I recommend to exercise and feed your horse a few hours prior to our session. I can also give you some tips to brush off on the ground work manners a few days before we meet. During the session, I have a few tricks to get the horse attention and I am really attentive to what the horse needs. If a situation is too frustrated for your horse, we will adjust our plans to make the best of the session. If possible, you may want to bring an equine friend along.
