As the curtain falls on 2023, I spent some time this week, reflecting on my favorite moments and images. This past year was full of learning and amazing experiences on my photography journey ! I am inviting you to join me in 2024 to create even more artwork with your favorite companions.
This past year, I fully embraced the magic of natural light. My favorite parts of the day were sunrise (if I wake up early enough) and sunset. The dance of light during these moments is pure magic. With the help of amazing subjects and stunning skies, the images resulting from the earliest or latest hour of the day are my favorite. What do you think of these beautiful silhouette pictures ? As I’ve explored the art of bending light through my lens, the horizon of creativity has expanded, promising a gallery of unique images waiting to be shared with you.
This year I also dived into the realm of studio lighting for when our Iowa weather is not cooperating or too cold to pick our noses outside. Navigating through various settings, I discovered the art of transforming any space into a studio, capturing the essence of moments with the same passion, whether indoors or outdoors. If you have a cozy spot to escape the winter chill, let’s discuss the possibilities of creating timeless images together.
To all who contributed to my success in 2023—your collaboration, support, and shared moments have painted my journey with vivid strokes. Each image I captured holds a piece of the shared experiences and stories we’ve created together. What was your favorite moment from the past year ? I invite you to share your favorite moments and reflections; let’s weave a collective narrative in the comments below!
As we step into the blank canvas 2024, what is the dream image you wish to capture ? If you have an idea or a special moment you’d like immortalized, drop a message below or send me a direct message. Here’s to a 2024 overflowing with creativity, connection, and the magic of unforgettable images—let’s paint this canvas together!
